Upon observing the life and ministry of Jesus, we can see "his awareness of the importance of God's timing. He seemed not to put too much stock in the outer appearances of events but viewed them rather in a continuum of God's larger plan" (Jones).
The Body of Christ was meant to see our circumstances through this Heavenly worldview. We can practice this task in straightforward ways. Invite the Holy Spirit into your daily decision-making. Why can the big questions of life seem scary? Because we have not practiced the art of walking with the Holy Spirit in the small day to day. If you practice this skill daily, your spiritual muscles will be well equipped to handle the "big" asks.
Daily, ask the Father to give you wisdom, vision, and discernment of the big picture. How is what I see in the news, social media, or the church fit into the grand scheme of eternity? What is my role, position, or assignment during this time? Leaning into the timeline of Heaven lets you understand your vital role in this time and place.
"To everything, there is a time and a purpose under Heaven. A time to build up, a time to tear down, a time to reap, a time to sow." (Ecclesiastes 3 abrv.)
This resource is a summary from Laurie Beth Jones' book, "Jesus, Entrepreneur."
