Wisdom

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." James 1:5 ESV

Our perspective of success limits our understanding of wisdom. We tend to see wisdom as a hard-won lesson brought on by failure. We misinterpret this verse, believing God will give us some divine secret to winning by the world's standards. God wants to do more!

"The Hebrew understanding of wisdom is not just knowledge, but the ability to do God's will. Wisdom is practical... Wisdom is a person” (Chiqui Wood). God gives us His very Spirit to unveil the right path and empower us to walk in it. We can walk this earth with an active heavenly insight and the strength to live it out. Abide with the Holy Spirit and receive biblical wisdom.
